Alex glanced out of the canopy of the extended seat of the X-wing as it came out of hyperspace. The ruddy colored world of Korriban revolved slowly before them.

Silvan Armoth stared at the dirty, dark world spinning slowly below them. He could feel the darkness radiating from that place, threatening to swallow them whole, them and the ship they were in, and drag them down into the Dark Side. He didn't like it - especially for his Padawan. Storm had been instructed well, but this challenge might even be too much for him.
"Doesn't look like much, does it?" Silvan said, breaking the silence. He stared at the planet again, then instructed his Padawan, "Run a scan for life forms. Put us down twenty-five clicks away from any readings."
Silvan expected to find concentrations of mercenaries clustered nearest the dark Sith temples. What he didn't tell his apprentice was that he suspected a Sith might be here as well. Or possibly more than one. If Master Valm had been right about the Sith expanding their numbers, breaking the rule of two, then who knew what could be on the planet. That was why he hoped Sephios arrived soon. The Jedi couldn't afford losses now.
Silvan put his head back and thought. Closing his eyes, he reached out with his feelings and attempted to gauge the danger. Just as he was about to lock onto something, his thoughts were violently blocked. Darkness invaded his mind; the pain was nearly unbearable. He winced as shut his thoughts off, hiding his presence, but now he knew. A Sith had arrived.
